  A large format Maori portrait double sided photograph
  the gent in formal European dress with fine woven detail in Maori design including muka dyed tassel fringe, his cravat with supporting brooch bearing an image of an older British officer, he holds a taiaha adorned with dog fur, the reverse of a Maori woman wearing a woven muka hat and cloak with taniko patterned border, a large greenstone pendant to her neck. Oval form, approx. 500 x 350, in Edwardian faux painted oval frame.
