Traditional carpets of this type are characterised by their lustrous wool, soft colours and elegant floral designs adapted from the local textile and shawl-weaving industries. The inscription cartouche contains the name 'Yazdan Parastan', a reference to its master weaver or to the workshop where the carpet was woven.
