Lot Description:1969 Rolls-Royce Mulliner Park-Ward Special Convertible
By the time the Swinging Sixties began, Rolls-Royce had begun to appeal to a new breed of owner. Actors, rock stars and celebrities chose the marque as a symbol of their success. This is certainly the case with the Mulliner Park Ward Special Convertible. More than one year went by after Rolls-Royce had launched the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow before Mulliner Park Ward showed the first two door saloon of this type. A second year passed before a convertible became available. Initially these versions were offered as the two door additions to the basic model. In 1971 they increased their reputation when minimal technical up-dating led to their re-naming as Corniche".Engine no. 6787Chassis No. DRH6787A UK built car, this rare classic was built as a precursor to the Rolls Royce Corniche. Resprayed in "Chianti" with original beige leather upholstery and a black powered Mercedes hood with felt lining. Motor and gearbox rebuilt to a high standard." -
Notes:Minor imperfections to body. Chrome, Interior, and hood are in good condition.
