  [Peter Norman won the 200m silver medal at the 1968 Olympics in 20.06 seconds which remains the Australian record. He is most remembered for his support of John Carlos and Tommie Smith when they made their famous raised-fist gesture at the 1968 Olympics medal ceremony. When Norman died in 2006, Smith and Carlos were pallbearers at his funeral].
