the gilt metal case with marble panels on four stylised scroll feet mounted with foliate spandrels, swags and scroll feet with lower foliate scroll mount, the circular silvered dial with black Roman chapter ring and pierced hands, foliate scroll bezel, 8-day bell striking movement, surmounted by a finely modelled figure of a maiden on horseback her arm outstretched towards a dove, beneath a glass dome
