    A French musical automaton clock of birds in a tree, late 19th Century
    modelled with four birds tweeting and moving amongst the boughs of a wirework and fabric tree, the natuarlistically modelled rocky landscape with a turning glass rod to one side simulating flowing water, the key wind musical 8-day time only movement enclosed in the ebonised oval moulded plinth set with stop/start levers and pull cord winds the music, the clock with white enamelled dial and black Roman numerals set into the rock face all beneath a perspex dome
