Lot Description:An unusual historical N.Z. portrait miniature Maori portrait painted brooch
attributed to Charles Frederick Goldie, the finely painted oil miniature portrait of Kapikapi under glass within a double fern leaf silver frame with ‘N.Z.’ to the cartouche, a 1938 N.Z. Penny mounted as the back plate. Diameter approx. 45. Together with an original typed provenance ‘Maori Woman by C.F. Goldie’ mounted on a 1938 Penny and Framed with Silver Fern Leaves. Valuation available. -
