    carved wood and natural earth pigments
    54 cm high
  • Provenance:
    James Tuite, Eulo, Queensland (1920-1930); By descent; Private Collection, Dalby, Queensland (1970s); An Important Private Collection (acquired from the above)
  • Notes:
    James Tuite worked as a labourer and station hand in Eulo in South-West Queensland in the 1920-1930s and then sheep shearing in Cunnamulla from the 40's onwards. He died in the late 1970s and the shield was passed down to family members in Dalby.
