  • Notes:
This painting is sold with descriptive notes by Geoffrey Bardon which reads: "Playful ceremony for all the people, with two kangaroos crossing the ceremonial area, from left to right, a Europeanised goanna featured in the centre of the design. The symmetrically placed spiralling lines represent running water or possibly even blood for this ritual. A dingo track is marked left to right. At the bottom of the design is a snake and the accompanying large dots represents bush tucker. A large ceremonial object at the bottom of the design carries the water dreaming motif with ceremonial figures at either end. The works was painted under the school art room, with crude craft equipment. It should be compared with his later masterful achievements in technique and draughtsmanship."
