the rider sitting upright astride a saddle, with both hands held forward as though clasping the reins, wearing a long gown with wide sleeves and tall hat, the horse standing four square on a plinth, its head raised in alert attitude with well defined features, the mane docked and tail bound, painted in red, black and white pigments, perspex stand, fitted box (3)
