  A rare pair of quality Chinese huanghuali Emperor and Empress chairs together with the matching side table
  fine pierced and carved detail to the scrolling arms , back panels and supports, the seats panelled, the plain scrolling legs with fully stretchered base, the rectangular table of conforming design. Good dark rich colour and patina.
• Provenance:
  From the private collection of a retired German banker formerly working in Asia, now retired in New Zealand. Purchased in Malacca C1990, copy of purchase receipt available.
