Lot Description:An Apulian Red-Figure Bell Krater, Attributed To The Perrone-Phryxes Group. Circa 340-330 B.C.
side A depicting a spotted torpedo fish, with a rosette in the field and a dotted line below; side B depicting an angler fish with bared teeth, with rosettes in the field and a dotted line below, each scene enlivened with white and ochre paint, with a wave pattern baseline, a band of chevrons under the rim and slim bands on the base, a dotted ring around each handle with palmettes below, elsewhere reserved, (losses and cracks, repairs), 19.8cm high -
