  the hinged lid inset with a relief carved landscape panel, internally fitted and complete with original ivory and mosaic inlaid compartment lids and bobbins, 31.5cm wide

  The box includes a hand written period postcard indicating it was a gift from the Rani and Rajah of Tanekhandi. The Rani ‘Was one of the first Hindu ladies to begin to come out into European society. ‘, including two original black and white photographs of the Rajah and Rani, stamped verso Photographed by Pestunjee Dosabhoy, Bombay
