  A scarce early set of four panoramic lithographs of Auckland and environs c.1864
  from drawings by Duncan White, published by the newspaper ‘New Zealander’ probably with the aim of promotion of emigration. The extensive views include Auckland from the North Shore, Onehunga and the Manukau, The North Shore from Parnell and View from Cheltenham, the later annotated ‘To Be Sold By Auction...December 1864’. Various conditions, some tears and foxing. Various sizes.

  By descent to the vendor from her great-great grandfather R.J. MacFarland, an early Auckland surveyor, land agent and architect.
