  A massive pair of Japanese Satsuma Vases
  The gosu blue ground is highlighted with gilt. The cream crackle glazed cartouches painted on the front with an idyllic scene with a knarled tree trunk forward and Mt Fuji in the distance. On the reverse, a male duck sitting on rocks by a lake with the female flying away, all under an overhanging flowering wisteria vine. Condition very good, just two short cracks and wear to the gilt, from handling. Taisho Period, 1930s.
