A rare N.Z. Young & Co. colonial silver Scottish buckle brooch
circular form, the belt design with raised lettering ‘Vincere Vel Mori’ (To Conquer or Die), traditional motif to the centre, the reverse stamped with maker’s mark ‘Young & Co. Silver’, operating c.1906-07 Auckland. Diameter 86, original brass pin to reverse. Weight 70gms.
