  hallmarked London, 1888, Edward Stockwell, of curved rectangular form, gilt interior, lid with lidded initials AE separated by Prince of Wales feathers, interior inscribed 'This Cigarette Case was given to/Ralph Milbanke C.B./by King Edward VII when Prince of Wales', weight 95gm, 8cm x 7.5cm

  Purchased: Lawson Auctions, Sydney, 1989, with original Eggleton notes
• Notes:
  Ralph Milbanke C.B was a secretary to H.M Consul-General in Coburg in 1887 (when presumably this case was presented) and later was secretary of the Embassy and Minister Plenipotentiary at Vienna in 1896
