MILLS, John. Three Months Residence at Nablus, and an account of the Modern Samaritans. London, John Murray, 1864.xii,335pp., a few text illustrations and music examples, bound without half-title and advertisements at end (evident from some pale offsetting), marbled endpapers and edges, 8vo., contemporary 1/2 calf with contrasting title label, spine rubbed and marked and now stabilised with conservation leather dressing. Gilt crest of a parliamentary library at spine base but no other markings external or internal. Claimed in the Preface to be the first full account of the Samaritans. The book seems very scarce. Not in Blackmer; [MERYON, Charles Lewis] Memoirs of the Lady Hester Stanhope, as related by herself in conversations with her physician; comprising her opinions and anecdotes of some of the most remarkable persons of her time.
