Newcastle, Printed for R.Robinson, 1887. 200 illustrations, including 27 engraved plates protected with tissues, (40),328pp., 4to., publisher's green cloth slightly dusty and marked, paper spine label spotted. Internally fine.The Bewick blocks are superbly reproduced, generally better than when first published; BEWICK, Thomas. A General History of Quadrupeds. The Eighth Edition. Newcastle Upon Tyne, Printed by Edward Walker for T. Bewick, and Son, 1824. Numerous woodcut illustrations, vignettes and tailpieces, x,526pp., marbled endpapers and edges, small 4to., recent 1/2 black calf, spine gilt in panels, old title labels retained, marbled boards.
