    A George IV Irish silver alms dish
    the border embossed with leaves, flowers and scrolls, the cavetto with fine quality flat chased decoration of masks, eagles, leaves, flowers and scrolls, the centre with the Coat-of-Arms of John Greenwood Holden, Esq., J.P., of Holden Hall and Palace House near Burnley in Lancashire, and with his motto: ‘Nec Temede (sic) Nec Timide’ (Neither rashly, nor timidly). Hallmarks for Dublin 1824 by Stephen Bergin. Weight 970gms. Diameter 390.
