Lot Description:A matching set of four George III Paul Storr silver spoons
in the Coburg Pattern in a dark red velvet lined Morocco leather case. All marks match.
Length 175. -
Notes:The Coburg Pattern was designed by Paul Storr c.1812 Rundell, Bridge and Rundell (Jewellers & Silversmiths to the Crown). Coburg is considered one of the most sophisticated patterns ever produced as the pattern of choice for the Prince Regent (later King George IV). It deservedly has the reputation of being the King of English flatware patterns and is still used by the Royal Family for major banquets.
