A “Colt Single Action Army 45” Revolver , c 1884
1884This revolver has the standard Army/Navy blued finish with the three-line Patent dates for 1871 and 1872 engraved on the left side of the frame and Encircled Rampant Colt grips. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped "COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD.CT.USA" in one line. The serial number "109001" is stamped on the bottom of the frame, trigger guard and back strap and on the side of the cylinder. All of the visible serial numbers match. Details BBL: 17 cm, With Stock: 32 cm; Gauge: 45 percussion; Finish: casehardened; Grips: Colt hard rubber; Serial Number: 109001
