  An antique Ferahan rug
  hand knotted close cropped wool pile on cotton weft and warp, decorated with a curvilinear central medallion enclosing floral motifs on a shaped panel of madder tone decorated with further florals, spandrels with indigo ground decorated with conforming motifs, all framed by a broad floral border with ivory ground flanked by narrower guards of pale blue decorated with small floral meander. 1890 x 1390.
