  As with all of the bi-colour First Watermark issues, any monogram pieces are extremely rare and highly prized. Of the £1 with CA monogram there are only five mint examples recorded, all of which are singles and all of which are similarly trimmed at the base. One of these five is in the Australia Post Archival Collection, so only 4 are available to the public. The only CA monogram multiple known is the unique block of six handstamped "Specimen". One of the great Kangaroo rarities and a star of the Sterling Collection. The most recent example to change hands at public auction was a feature of the Hugh Morgan Collection, sold in London in November 2012. Although estimated at £30,000 - £40,000, it was finally hammered-down at £65,000 + 20% commission (£78,000).
