  Desert Scout, together with a ‘Jerusalem’ album of prints and pressed botanical specimens. The painting signed and dated, inscribed verso ‘A New Zealander on Patrol Scans the Western Desert’, the soldier depicted being Clarence Henry Hawtin, further document available. The album with olive wood covers and painted and entitled detail, the album returning to N.Z. with the painting.
