• Provenance:
  Noted on verso '1951 Wellington - Lyttleton Ocean Race 22 Yachts, 17 failed to finish, four missing leather bound, only one to finish, Brown's Tawhiri (fifth on left of photo'. Notes on artist: Born in Nelson, Dudgeon, became an award winning photographer, among many awards he won the prestigious Emerson Medal for the picture of the year at the 1933 Paris International Salon of Photography.
