P * - UNIQUE 9d "COMMONWEALTH" perforated proof of 1903:
9d VICTORIA beneath COMMONWEALTH arch design electrotyped proof in brown and blue on unwatermarked paper. The only recorded example and part of the Postmaster-General's first attempts to create a standardized Commonwealth stamp design. This design was only issued in New South Wales and Queensland with NSW singles (2) and QLD (blk 4) accompanying the proof.BW V104E (2)
