    British Paddle-Steamer Albion Was Built In 1831 For The General Steam Navigation Company Of Bristol. En Route From Dublin To Bristol, Passing Through Jack Sound In Fine Weather Ð The Albion Struck A Rock And Began To Take On Water. The Captain Then Beached Her On The Mainland Nearby. There Were No Casualties But The Ship Broke Up. Not Having A Name The Beach Was Thereafter Known As Albion Sands.
