    Kimberley Decorated Pearl Shell C. 1920
    Embellished with incised images of native and marine life including, a "Kangaroo and Emu badge" with divided-ray star, snake, goanna, flower, crocodile, shark, fish and pair of boomerangs. Decorated with cross-hatched designs in charcoal ink with fat.
    17.5 x 15.5cm
  • Notes:
    Probably originating from the area around the Beagle Bay Mission, north of Broome on the western side of the Dampier Peninsula. For more information please refer to notes in lot 101.
