  A Victorian Carved Ivory Presentation Staff*
  19th Century. The staff finely carved with long turned handle with acanthus leaf decoration surmounted by a removable crest of The Prince of Wales, the back of which has a polished brass plaque inscribed 'LYING -IN CHARITY for poor married Women at their own habitations INSTITUTED 1757', complete with the original leather bound fitted case, 56cm long.
