  SCARCE MASSAI WARRIOR'S SHIELD
  made from Elephant hide; 3' x 2' oval shape; wooden edging bound with strips of hide; front of shield is painted with tribal motifs of various colours; back of the shield is a wooden hand grip secured by strips of hide; pleasing patina. A scarce 19th C shield in exceptional condition.
