  ENGLISH FLINTLOCK BRASS BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSS by BASS
  1¼" bore at the muzzle; 14" brass barrel struck with Birmingham proofs, spring bayonet fitted to the top; stepped lock plate with sun burst decoration & bolted safety with a swan necked cock, integral pan & marked BASS; pineapple finial brass t/guard with a stand of flags & trophies engraved to knuckle, similar engraving to butt tang; g. profiles & clear markings; mellow finish to barrel & furniture; soft grey to lock, cock, bayonet & fittings; f to g orig stock with severe crack through the wrist but easily repaired; complete with rod; gwo. C.1770.
