Lot Description:SCARCE U.S. MOD.1841 PERCUSSION MISSISSIPPI RIFLE
58 Cal; 33" barrel retained by brass nose cap & band; std front & rear sights; plain lock plate marked US, dated 1850, E. REMINGTON HEKINER NY; mellow finish to brass regulation furniture with hinged patch box; US stamped to brass butt plate; g. profiles & clear markings; dark brown finish to barrel which has a coating of surface rust which could be gently removed; v.g. stock with Inspector's cartouche to lhs; all complete; gwo & cond. -
Notes:Would upgrade to vg+ cond with gentle cleaning.
