Lot Description:AUSTRALIAN COLONIAL POLICE ISSUE BRUNSWICK TYPE VOLUNTEER PERCUSSION RIFLE
22 bore; 30" barrel fitted with std Brunswick style sword bayonet fitting; std front & rear sights; border engraved lock marked WILKINSON; mellow finish to brass std regulation furniture with brass hinged patch box; tang marked N. over 23 788 VC (Victorian Constabulary); g. profiles & clear markings; soft grey patina to barrel; silver grey to lock & hammer; f to g stock with minor bruising, fine aged crack to forend in front of the lock surround; complete with period replacement rod, no swivels; gwo. C.1850's. -
