  CASED LONDON 1849 POCKET PERCUSSION REVOLVER
  31 Cal; 5 shot cylinder with 80% scene; 153mm (6") oct barrel with COL COLT LONDON address; struck with London proofs; frame marked COLTS PATENT; iron t/guard & back strap; sharp profiles, clear address & markings; soft grey patina to barrel & frame with traces of blue in protected areas; patchy finish to cylinder; vg orig walnut grips; gwo & cond. Presented in its orig oak case missing lid escutcheon & key; some mothing to Colt trade label; partitioned & lined in blue velvet with some wear & staining; with Dixon bag flask, brass Colt mould & empty cap tin. A g casing & pistol that would grade up. C.1853, 1st year of production.
