  20 bore; 9½" iron swamped barrel struck with London proofs & marked GRIFFIN at the tang; plain banana shaped curved lock marked GEO N. M……; fitted with a swan necked cock & semi-detached pan; plain silver furniture with leaf & flower finial t/guard; ornate silver wrist escutcheon, eared grotesque mask butt cap & skeleton side plate; g. profiles & clear markings; silver grey patina to barrel, lock & fittings; soft mellow finish to furniture; g. stock with minor bruises, sml aged crack at the lock surround & slither of wood from the forend; all complete except hammer screw & main spring; g. cond. C.1770.
