Lot Description:1887 Martini Henry Rifle, a good example, well
marked stock with much blueing remaining of the regulation arm of the British army in India and the last of the line of the Martinis. British ordinance issue mkIV service rifle. mkIV Action engraved to the right side with crowned VR over Enfield 1887. Opposed broad arrow walnut stock with regulation iron furniture, various later Indian army issue and inspection stamps next to a 1908 inspection date. -
