Lot Description:WWII War Medal and Defence Medal awarded to Hawea Mataira (1910 - 1979) in 1939
as a NZ Kiwis league rep Mataira had embarked on a tour of Great Britain and France however the tour was cancelled without any test matches played due to the outbreak of World War II. -
