  designed by Eugene Oudine (1810-1887), marking the Paris 1878 world fair celebrating the recovery of France after the Franco-Prussian war, the obverse decorated with allegories for the Arts, Industry, Commerce and Agriculture, the reverse depicting two cherubs holding aloft a scroll mapping the exhibition, marked 'cuivre' (copper) to edge, diameter 81.5mm
