from A-Fong Studio, of rectangular form, depicting a mother and child in front of steps, mounted, 21cm x 15.5cm Note: Lai Afong (Chinese: ??; c.1838 or 1839ñ1890) was a Chinese photographer who established Afong Studio, considered to be the most successful photographic studio in the late Qing Dynasty. He is widely acknowledged as the most significant Chinese photographer of the nineteenth century. -
