Simmons, 1812, first edition, woodcut portrait frontispiece, modern quarter calf with marbled boards, slight foxing, a very good copy. John Bellingham (1769 -1812) was an English merchant and responsible for the only assassination of a British prime minister, he was hanged a few days following the trial
