  "Ernabella or Pukatja (26.2925 degrees S132.1283 degrees E) is a remote Aboriginal community in the remote north west of South Australia. It is in the Anangu Pitjantjara lands. I visited it twice when I was working as honorary photographer for the Department of Aboriginal Affairs in 1987. The Medica Centre was an important contributor to Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA) with a television station & radio broadcasting. This photograph symbolises the mixture of sophistication & innovation which is typical of the Australian both indigenous & non indigenous." Joyce Evans
