  Pair painted by Charles Shirreff (1750 - 1829) c. 1795 in 9ct gold frames, (Ex: Phillips London illustrated catalogue 06.07.1987). Both with initials and plaited hair verso, his I/J?E, hers AE. Framed together in a modern frame.
  Size approx gentleman 6.2 x 3.2cm and lady 5.7 x 4.5cm. frame 21 by 24.5cm.
