Lot Description:A Hardwood Folding Horseshoe-Back Chair, (Jiaoyi) 19th/20th Century
the looping crestrail with rounded hand-grips, the backsplat pierced with a qilin panel below a pierced chilong, the seat frame carved with two chilong and foliate scrolls, secured on the folding rounded legs with squared surfaces at the intersectons and the whiplash curve securing the metal bamboo-form strut to the crestrail, with further metal strapwork on the structural joins and on the footrest
