  the ovoid vase with high set bracket handles with acanthus terminals and a moulded neck and base with shot colours picked out in gilt, decorated with a pastoral scene featuring a lad with two harnessed draft horses in a suffused landscape setting, signed H. Davis lower right, puce backstamp and shape number 2425 underside
