  Condition: Good, two diagonal scratches across surface & frame, some grime on original frame
• Provenance:
  The Estate of the Late Dora Toovey, thence by descent
• Notes:
  The Artist travelled many times to remote outback Australia, usually on bus tours, to visit her son James Murray Jackson, who was working as a geologist in remote locations. She took her artist's materials with her, painting when she could during breaks such as morning & afternoon tea. Towards the end of her life she was working towards an exhibition of these works but the exhibition was cancelled unexpectedly & she died before another could be organised.
