Lot Description:A pair of bronze harness fittings and a ring
Spring and Autumn period (770 to 476 BCE)
with box, the fittings 4.7cm long each, the ring 5.2cm diam. (3). -
Provenance:The Hsiao family collection, Melbourne

Notes:Almost identical set of harness decorations, excavated at Bianjiazhuang in Long county, Shaanxi, 1986, was exhibited with the Art Gallery of New South Wales, The First Emperor, China's Entombed Warriors. See the exhibition catalogue, Liu Yang and Edmund Capon, Sydney, 2010, p.66, pl.34.
