Lot Description:A finely carved Japanese ivory figure of a fisherman
he stands turning to see an octopus escaping from a bag slung across his shoulders, his robe finely engraved with lotus flowers and carp. Slight loss to one hand and one foot. Height 130, on later carved wooden stand. -
