  Tjumpo has painted some of his traditional country south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. This country is known as Tjulyuroo, taking its name form the tjurrnu, or soakwater featured in the centre of the painting. Surrounding Tjulyuroo and dominating the landscape art tali, or sand dunes.
