    comprising the following Acts and Ordinances: 1842: 1,2,4,5,7,8; 1843:5,6,7,9,10,12,13,14,15,16; 1847:17,18; 1849:7,8,10,12; 1850: 2; 1851: 2 (includes the handwritten name of the owner - Wm. Giles M.L.C,10, 18, 19, 20.

    Giles was a prominent figure in the colony and stood for the electoral district of Port Adelaide in the first elected parliament in July 1851 but was narrowly defeated
